BECOMING A PRESENTER

Are you a child or grandchild of a Holocaust Survivor?

Are you interested in becoming involved in Holocaust education?

Is your Survivor parent or grandparent able to participate in a one-on-one interview with you?

Are you willing, able and available to speak to groups on average 5 times per school term?

If you answered “yes” to these four questions, you could become a Carrying Testimony presenter.

To become a Presenter you will follow these steps:

• 1. Meet with the organization to discuss the possibility of participating.
• 2. Prepare for your interview with the Survivor.
• 3. Collect artifacts, photos and other items that could be included in your presentation.
• 4. Complete the “Presenter/Survivor” interview.
• 5. Review the edited interview clips sent to you following the filming.
• 6. Prepare your presentation.
• 7. Complete a mock-presentation for our educator panel.
• 8. Review the presenter training information.
• 9. Add your name to our Presenter list

Please note that this is not designed as an “Archive” project. We are looking for Presenters who are willing to speak to audiences at least 5 times per school term. The time commitment for a presentation is typically two hours (set up, presentation, Q&A) plus travel.
